Second Project of 2009

Feather and Fan Scarf

This is a Feather and Fan Scarf made out of Malabrigo worsted weight yarn in the "Lettuce" colorway. I really love how squishy and drapy this pattern allows the yarn to be.

Toast Arm Warmers

These are arm warmers I made using the Toast pattern that everyone is making this winter. The handspun yarn is from Sdspin's Etsy Shop. I just love them.

Snowy Steps - Houston 2008

Here is a photo of the staircase leading up to my apartment taken during the one and only snowy night in Houston in 2008. I wish I could have played in the snow that day, but I was stuck in an office and far to tired to run around in the dark once I got home. But I do so love the cold weather - perfect for knitting or reading a book wrapped up in a cozy blanket...

First Spinning Post (only 11 months late)

This is the first skein of yarn that I spun using my drop spindle. It was created with "Whales and Spock" batts from Hobbledehoy at Etsy.com. I've since purchased an old Ashford Traditional spinning wheel, but I haven't take pics of anything I've spun on it yet.

This is my first Noro Kureyon project - a moss rib stitch scarf. I really like the look of this pattern and how it shows of the color changes.
